Licensing
Snippbot uses a tiered licensing model. The daemon itself always runs — licensing controls which features are available when connected to the Singularity Marketplace.

Go to snippbot.com/pricing and review the tiers

Select Personal or Commercial and complete checkout via Stripe

Copy your license key (starts with
slic_)
Activating Your License
Section titled “Activating Your License”-
Open Settings → License in the Snippbot UI

Paste your license key in the activation field

Click Activate — your tier and features update immediately
How Enforcement Works
Section titled “How Enforcement Works”- Local daemon: Always runs without restrictions. The daemon does not block any functionality based on license.
- Marketplace connection: When your daemon connects to the Singularity Marketplace, it sends your license key. The marketplace validates it and enables/restricts features accordingly.
- Offline: If the marketplace is unreachable, your last validated license is cached locally for 24 hours.
Can I switch between tiers? Yes. Activate a new license key at any time. Your previous tier is replaced immediately.
What happens when my Commercial subscription lapses? Your daemon continues to work. Marketplace features revert to Free tier until you renew.
Is the Personal license really lifetime? Yes, for the major version you purchased. When Snippbot 2.0 ships (a future major release), you may need a new license for the new version. Minor updates (1.1, 1.2, etc.) are always included.
Can I use Snippbot at work with the Free tier? The Free tier is for personal, non-commercial use only. Your local daemon runs without restrictions on any tier, but commercial use of Snippbot requires a Commercial license.
